Degenerescenta maculara legata de varsta reprezinta o problema grava de sanatate a populatiei varstnice, cu
solutii terapeutice relativ ineficiente, dar cu o pleiada de teorii si ipoteze epidemiologice, etio- si fiziopatologice.Ne
propunem sa trecem in revista aspectele teoretice legate de DMLV si sa identificam aspectele utile clinicianului.

ABSTRACT
The Age-Related Macular Degeneration is an extremely seroius health problem for the elderly people.The therapeutic options are not so effective, but there are a plenty of phisiopathotheories and hipothesis for logical epidemiology and ethiological. We are looking through this theoretical aspects and try to identify what is necessary for clinical practice.
